Whats your Dialect

 Dialects are vocal specifics that suggest a region or area.  In America it is easy to distinguish between the dialect of one from New York as opposed to one from California, the Midwest, Northern or Southern regions.  It is possible to get more specific with dialects.  If you are from Georgia it is possible to distinguish between one who is from the diverse regions of the state and this is true for any place within the United States.  In England, the dialects may be as close as the community next door.  People from Suffolk have a different dialect than those from Essex and they may only be 15 to 20 miles apart.  This is also true of America where a dialect may suggest the city verses the urban speech patterns.
 Dialects can reflect if a person is from the north, south east or west.  This is not always the truth for there are people who pick up dialects and are able to use and manipulate them on a notice.  Actors and actresses would be people who have this specific ability.  There are also those who train their dialects.  Someone from the south can train their dialect to reflect a more central dialect as opposed to the beautiful southern drawl they may be raised with.  I think all of it is ok.  It is no problem to be where you are from and speak the way you speak.  I don’t believe it is a problem for you to pick up or train yourself into or out of a dialect either.  No matter who you are, where you come from, you have some type of dialect in your speech.  I can do a wide variety of them.  I am one of those people who find them extremely interesting and love practicing the wide variety of human dialects available.  Be proud of who you are and where you come from.  There is nothing wrong with your dialect.
