Once you have learned one dialect of a language, you can usually learn other dialects with modest effort. This learning of other dialects with modest effort requires that you have fully mastered one dialect of the language first. If you have only sort of learned the first dialect then you will not be able to pick up other dialects with modest effort. Instead, you wills imply confused yourself and others when you try to speak. You will only be able to do this successfully if truly take the time to learn each dialect individually and, of course, continuously practice.
