As an accomplished actor, you should have a number of dialects that you can reproduce on command. At least a couple of these dialects should be unusual English dialects. However, this is usually not the most feasible of options because most people can not just pick and go like this. However, as an actor, you may have to make certain sacrifices for your craft. Remember that in Hollywood, reputation is everything. Thus, be very honest when adding dialects to your acting skills section of your resume. If you can not complete pronounce every word in a certain dialect, then you have not mastered it and it should not be listed as a skill. There is nothing worse then not being able to perform a dialect that you told a director you could perform. Remember that directors and producers talk to each other; word about such disappointments will spread incredibly quickly. These kinds of disappointments will give you a very bad reputation and kill your acting career before it even starts. So, be honest with yourself and others when it comes to your speaking skills.
